Jennifer Sheridan
Jen Sheridan remembers the day in high school that she became hooked on biology: “we were learning about floral anatomy, and someone in my class asked why we couldn’t just look at the flower and appreciate its beauty. My teacher responded that a deeper knowledge of the flower, and the world, allows us to see beauty on many levels.” Jen has continued to study biology and find the beauty of nature in wild places in the US, Malaysian Borneo, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Thailand, and Singapore. She completed her dissertation in 2008 and is pursuing post-doctoral research.
Jen looks forward to helping WildPlanet bring people closer to conservation science projects, especially those that are under-funded or need volunteers.
